To be or not to be... on Social Media

Today, it's hard to imagine a marketing strategy without social media in it. In fact, I'm running a FaceBook ad as I write this email.

Despite that, I recently made a decision to stop using Instagram and Facebook for organic marketing and moved all of my activity to LinkedIn. I explain why I did it here.

If you're worried that you're missing out on attracting clients by not being active on Social Media, don't be. You can create a marketing strategy for your practice without social media.

Here's how:

  • Define your therapy brand and your niche.

  • Leverage your professional relationships for networking and referrals.

  • Create a website with a blog and an opt-in to collect emails.

  • Optimize your PT profile for your "ideal client".

  • List your practice on Google, Bing, and other online directories.

  • Develop an email marketing strategy.

But if you're still interested in a Social Media presence, use this article as a general guide.

4 Behavioral Health Trends

The Behavioral Health Business publication summarized the 4 leading trends that are shaping behavioral healthcare.

An important trend continues to be the integration of behavioral health into a holistic healthcare system, a.k.a Value-Based Care.

The article explains the main obstacles to this trend's development, such as the lack of industry standards to measure value.

The Takeaway

This issue was dedicated to the topic of Social Media marketing.

With the obvious benefits of reaching a wide audience of people, Social Media channels can deliver a boost to your private practice. Ignoring this fact wouldn't be practical.

But investing in other marketing channels can be equally helpful to grow your private practice. I hope that this email can guide you in that.

If you'd like to share your thoughts about Social Media marketing, just reply to this email. I always respond.
